Meeting “The Knowledge Economy and Feminism after the Crisis: A Discussion with Gender Scholars Sylvia Walby and Heidi Gottfried”

Following the launch of the Japanese translation of Gendering the Knowledge Economy on Nov. 13 at the University of Tokyo, Sylvia Walby and Heidi Gottfried will visit Ochanomizu University to continue the discussion about developments in the gendering of the knowledge economy since the original publication date, especially the effects of the crisis on gender equality projects and the future of feminism. Following short statements summarizing some of their recent work (Walby 2015 Crisis, Polity Press; Gottfried 2013 Gender, Work and Economy, Polity Press) the format will turn to an open discussion with participants.
